Call 2 of the Digitalise your SME Scheme, hereinafter ‘the Scheme’, has been launched, with a budget allocation of €15 million. The Scheme supports small and medium-sized enterprises to invest in digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, thereby enhancing their competitiveness, efficiency, and resilience.
The maximum grant value is set at €128,400 for eligible actions, with an aid intensity of up to 50% for investments in Malta and 60% for investments in Gozo. Projects which include Artificial Intelligence may be granted additional support of up to €107,000, bringing the total maximum support to €235,400.
Applications under Call 2 of the Scheme will open on 1 July 2026, with the first submission deadline on 31 July 2026, and subsequent cut off dates every 15 days up to the end of the year, subject to budget availability.
The Artificial Intelligence component will also benefit from additional support from the Malta Digital Innovation Authority. This AI-related top-up will be disbursed one year after project completion, subject to the submission of a productivity gains report and an ethical AI and societal well-being report.
