EIC Accelerator 2027 call

Do you have a breakthrough technology, product, service, or business model ready for scale?

The European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator provides funding and business support to high-potential start-ups, SMEs and small mid-caps developing breakthrough innovations with the potential to create new markets or significantly disrupt existing ones across Europe and beyond.

EIC Accelerator funding options

The EIC Accelerator offers three forms of support:

1. Grant component only – a fixed grant of up to €2.5 million for innovation activities that have reached Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5 (validated in a relevant environment), with an aid intensity of 70%; or  
2. Investment component only – direct equity or quasi-equity investment ranging from €1 million to €10 million, designed to finance market deployment and scale up;  or 
3. Blended finance – a combination of grant and investment components, where applicable.

The application process

The EIC Accelerator follows a three-step process: 

1. Submit a short proposal any time, summarising information about your organisation, innovation and target market 
2. If short proposal is successful, submit a full application  by one of the periodic cut-off dates; and 
3. Participate in interviews with the EIC jury. 

What happens next

Applications that meet all criteria and receive a positive assessment from the EIC jury but which are not recommended for funding will be awarded a Seal of Excellence.

The first cut-off date for full applications in 2027 is 3 February 2027, with subsequent deadlines every two to three months.
