To support clients and policymakers in managing the increasing complexities of the European regulatory context in the cyber and digital fields, the Deloitte EU Policy Centre presents the EUPC Digital Playbook – a guide that provides a clear overview of the latest regulatory developments, highlighting the market opportunities these changes offer. In particular, the Digital Playbook emphasises regulations and policies on emerging technologies that are shaping the business environment, with a focus on the priorities of the EU Digital Strategy, while also offering a forward-looking analysis in light of the recent Draghi Report.
The Digital Playbook aims to be a compass for companies, helping them understand the cross-sectoral nature of the regulatory landscape, mitigate compliance risks, and adopt not only new technologies but also diversified business strategies.
In this edition, the Digital Playbook maps the latest legislation in key areas such as: Cybersecurity, Platform Economy, Artificial Intelligence and Data, Digital Finance, Digital Identity for six crucial sectors: Energy and Resources, Financial Services, Public Administration and Public Services, Life Sciences and Healthcare, Manufacturing and Consumer Goods, Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
To offer practical insights, the Playbook also includes use cases that demonstrate how specific entities within these sectors can apply the mapped regulations, translating legal requirements into concrete solutions. Additionally, the Playbook integrates the EU Digital Legislation Detail Cards, which quickly highlight the key points of cyber and digital regulations and their touchpoints with other regulations.
The Digital Playbook will be updated twice a year, with each edition delving into a specific topic. The next edition will focus on innovation in cyber defence, exploring how this can translate into new market opportunities and business models, and analysing its role in increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the EU.
