Institute of Financial Services Practitioners welcomes a new President

Malta, 10 July 2023Nick Captur, a director at Deloitte Malta, has recently been elected President of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP). Mr Captur, who acted as the Institute’s Vice President for the past four years and has also been an active member since 2007, succeeds Tonio Zarb, who has held the position for the past two years.

The IFSP is an association of professionals working across the entire range of financial services. The Institute's membership includes lawyers and accountants as well as professionals from other professions and provides a forum for the continuous exchange of ideas and promotes increased co-operation between various professions.

Mr. Captur has over 16 years’ experience in international tax transaction services and was previously a partner within Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice with 12 years experience in corporate finance and financial advisory work. Mr. Captur currently serves on the Deloitte Private Global Executive and the Deloitte Global Tax & Legal Talent Board and is a member of the Deloitte Global Tax & Legal Learning Governance Group and the Deloitte Central Mediterranean Partner Council.

Mr. Captur is also chairperson of the Standards sub-committee of the IFSP, and a member of the Education subcommittee and the Strategy Working Group.
