Malta, 28 September, 2026 - Deloitte Malta has launched its CFO Programme, an initiative bringing together Malta’s finance leaders to support them in navigating an increasingly complex and fast-evolving business landscape.
The role of the CFO is changing significantly. Finance leaders today are increasingly involved in shaping enterprise strategy, governing technology investments and overseeing AI adoption. At the same time, they face growing pressure to manage technology costs, respond to regulatory change and provide strategic financial insight that supports business decision-making.
The Deloitte CFO Programme addresses these challenges through exclusive events, peer networking, and thought leadership that bring together senior finance professionals across Malta. Participants will engage with experienced board professionals, subject matter experts, peers and Deloitte leaders, gaining perspectives and insights to support them navigating the evolving demands of the role.
The Deloitte CFO Programme is the platform to access insights and perspective, and to build the leadership skills, confidence, and broader business understanding needed to navigate both professional and organisational transformation.
Antoine Fenech, Strategy & Transactions leader at Deloitte Malta
The programme recognises that the modern CFO requires broader capabilities beyond financial reporting. For finance leaders stepping up to CFO positions, the programme helps develop the leadership and interpersonal skills needed to operate effectively at executive and board level, including boardroom presence, negotiation, leadership and people management. Importantly, it equips future CFOs to contribute meaningfully to the wider commercial, operational and strategic dimensions that drive business success.
"CFOs today face unprecedented challenges managing technology costs, delivering strategic financial insight, and navigating regulatory complexity all while increasingly being asked to shape enterprise strategy," says Antoine Fenech, Partner and Strategy & Transactions leader at Deloitte Malta. “The modern CFO must go well beyond financial reporting. The Deloitte CFO Programme is the platform to access insights and perspective, and to build the leadership skills, confidence, and broader business understanding needed to navigate both professional and organisational transformation.”
