Nick leads international tax transaction and implementation services in Malta, focusing on transactions and implementation support, typically to US multinational groups setting up financing, IP or holding structures. He also advises private businesses and their owners under the Deloitte Private brand. His experience is mostly in Consumer Business, Technology and Life Sciences industries.
He has 20 years’ experience in this field in Malta and was previously a partner within Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice with 12 years experience in corporate finance and financial advisory work. Prior to that, Nick was based in London with Arthur Andersen in their Corporate Recovery Services group, where he gained hands-on operational and management experience in turnaround situations in the UK and Australia.
He currently serves on the Deloitte Private Tax & Legal Global Executive and the Global Tax & Legal Talent Board and is a member of the DTTL Global Tax & Legal Learning Governance Group and the Deloitte Central Mediterranean Board of Partners. He regularly delivers training at Deloitte University Europe for Deloitte Private Tax & Legal.
Outside Deloitte he is also President of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP) and a member of the Malta Financial Services Advisory Council and a Governor of Finance Malta.
