23 March, 2022 - Deloitte and the Cyber Security Council (CSC) have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to engage in collaborative activities supporting the Cyber Security agenda in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The MoU will enable Deloitte and CSC to collaborate and leverage Deloitte’s expertise and experience in UAE Cyber Security, while drawing on internationally recognized good-industry practices to support the UAE Cyber Security agenda.
Such collaboration is not only limited to building capability within the UAE, but also expands internationally to embrace global cooperation and extend support to other countries as they come together to combat cyber threats.
As part of the MoU, Deloitte will support CSC with CERT guidelines, cyber trainings, Cyber Security strategy as well as establish a child online protection framework, among others.
“Our collaboration with Deloitte is a joint effort to create and build local Cyber Security capabilities and talent to support the UAE ‘Projects of the 50’ initiative, and signals our commitment to a secure digital transformation and a knowledge economy,” said H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE government. “We want to ensure that Cyber Security grows into a thriving and sustainable sector within the national economy for decades to come."
The MoU was signed by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE government and Tariq Ajmal, Cyber Leader at Deloitte Middle East, during the GISEC event where Deloitte participated in the Bug Bounty Contest led by the Cyber Security Council.

strategies. We look forward to working with the CSC in bringing their vision to
life,” said Ajmal.
Ziad El Haddad, Cyber Partner at Deloitte Middle East, said “We are delighted to be working with the Cyber Security Council in the UAE to further advance the Cyber Security agenda in the Emirates.
