REflexions - Issue 6

Real Estate - November 2017

Diversification is the focus driving this sixth edition of REflexions. True to form, this magazine, from Deloitte in Luxembourg, aims to provide readers with an insight into relevant tax and commercial issues the industry faces, as well as peering into markets outside the EMEA region, this time highlighting Australia. Moreover, we extend our focus to spotlight less traditional asset classes, such as infrastructure and real estate debt.

Alongside a growth in cross-border pension investment — globally and for the time being especially in Asia — the real estate debt market is on the rise. In an interview with Anthony Shayle, Head of Real Estate Debt EMEA within UBS Asset Management’s Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) business, we explore market trends, distressed debt and market regulation in the content of debt leveraging.
