Gokul leads the Tax practice for Deloitte South Asia and has been a Partner for over two decades. Gokul has also been a member of the Global Tax and Legal Executive, leader of the global business tax service line, and Chair of the Executive Talent Council for Deloitte Global Tax and Legal, since 2019. He represents South Asia (India) at the Asia Pacific T&L Executive, where he was also the Chief Strategy Officer during 2017-20. As a member of the finance subgroup for the Clean Development Mechanism under the National Action Plan for Climate Change, and the technical guidance group on carbon credits accounting, constituted by the ICAI, Gokul has been actively involved in the fiscal reform initiatives undertaken by the Indian government.
Over the past two decades, Gokul has been an active speaker at domestic forums, international seminars, and investment roadshows.
