Your recruitment process

Your journey with Deloitte Luxembourg starts on our online jobs portal.

Take the time to complete your application and candidate profile as thoroughly as possible. Be sure to include any requested documents, such as work samples, transcripts, or other supporting materials.

You're welcome to apply for more than one roles if they match your skills, experience, and interests. If you do, make sure each application clearly reflects how your background aligns with the position and presents a consistent picture of your experience and strengths.

For many junior and trainee positions, you’ll also receive a link to an online test related to the job you applied for. This helps us understand your analytical skills, reasoning, and working style. You’ll get clear instructions and a deadline to complete it.

Our recruiters take a hands-on approach to reviewing applications and online test results (where applicable).

If they think you’re a good fit, they will:

• Review your CV, profile, and assessment results.
• Share your application with the relevant business team for their input.
• Contact you to schedule the next steps in the interview process.

If a CV looks promising but is not suitable for one role, we may forward it to another recruiter to see if it could match a different opportunity. We receive many applications each year, so we cannot offer individual coaching to every candidate, but we are constantly talking to each other internally to match the best talent with our business needs.

If your profile is not selected to move forward, you will receive an automatic status update by email.

HR interview

At the beginning, you’ll speak with a recruiter in HR, usually in a separate interview.

This conversation focuses on:

• Your personality, motivation, and career aspirations.• Your fit with Deloitte’s culture and values.
• Practical aspects such as start date and contract type.
• General questions you may have about life at Deloitte Luxembourg and the recruitment process.

Some roles may involve additional interviews or discussions, which will be explained to you in advance. Interviews are planned one at a time so you can prepare properly for each step.

Business interview (with case or assessment)

If you advance, you’ll meet with a business interviewer, someone who knows the role and team you’re applying to.

This interview will:

• Explore your technical and professional skills.
• Give you insight into day-to-day work, tools, clients, and projects.
• Sometimes include a business case or skills assessment, depending on the position.

This is your opportunity to ask detailed questions about the role and see if it matches what you are looking for.

Once your interviews are complete, we’ll get back to you with an update. Whatever the outcome, you will receive feedback from our recruitment team:

• If you are hired
  We usually call you to share the good news and walk you through the offer details. After the call, you’ll receive the full offer by email so you can review everything in writing. If you accept, you’ll then receive your contract, and our onboarding team will contact you to complete the remaining formalities. Once the contract is signed and all formalities are completed, your hiring process is officially closed.
• If you are not selected after interviews
  You will receive a call or voicemail from a recruiter. We aim to explain the decision and provide constructive feedback, so you understand the outcome and can use it for future opportunities.
