Lilani Abeywickrama, M.D.

Lilani joined Deloitte in 2022 and works as a Senior Manager within the Public Sector and Healthcare Service.

Lilani has worked in various medical industries in both the public and private sector and is well versed in healthcare strategy within the life sciences sector. She read medicine in the in the UK and worked as an ophthalmic surgeon for the NHS in the in the West London area. Consulting for medical start-ups in London and Geneva she was able to expand her experience in the field of eHealth.

Since, Lilani undertook the role of lead strategist for Johnson & Johnson EMEA within medical affairs and was a global team leader in various therapeutic areas (including cancer, rare diseases, autoimmune conditions, etc.)

Her areas of expertise include organizational health reviews and support to process implementation. Lilani holds an MBBS, BMedSci, MSc of Biology of Vision (UCL London) as well as a Master in International Healthcare Management, Economics and Health Policy from Bocconi University.

Lilani is a native speaker of English and Greek. She also speaks French, German and Italian to a fluent level and has a good handling of conversational Luxembourgish and Spanish.
