MOMENTUM 2024: Reimagine, Innovate, Collaborate

quote story1

“It’s an honour to host so many brilliant minds as we tackle such a pressing and complex global issue. We’re also grateful for Green Business Events’ continued support as we ensure our actions align with our values. Only through concerted, collective effort can we make the progress we wish to see.”

Corinne Zema, Event Team Manager and organiser of MOMENTUM at Deloitte Luxembourg

For the third year in a row, Deloitte’s annual flagship sustainability conference, MOMENTUM, gathered thought leaders and innovators in the sustainability space to explore how to advance our climate commitments.

Expert-led panel discussions addressed an equitable and just low-carbon transition, the role or organizations in global economic growth, and the importance of synergizing individual efforts to accelerate collective progress by 2030. Local changemaker, Jana Degrott, emceed the event, and Thomas Schoos, of the Ministry of Environment, Climate, and Biodiversity, opened the conference with an inspiring keynote on how we could address climate change, pollution and biodiversity at both the local and European levels. The speakers and their exchanges both illuminated the challenges that lie before us and reenergized our collective resolve to see the potential solutions through.

The guests in attendance enjoyed the sustainable networking cocktail that followed the conference. Here they had the opportunity to meet with three local NGO booths serving local and international causes aligning with the cornerstones of sustainability; these included Fondation Raoul Follerau (Environmental), Serve the City (Social), and Dress for Success (Governance).  Guests could also participate in "Universal Humanity," an acclaimed photography project by Luxembourgish street artist and activist Thomas Iser.

To further reinforce our commitment to reducing our ecological footprint, for the third year in a row, the MOMENTUM conference received the prestigious Green Business Event designation. This label is bestowed only to events that fulfill the Ministry of Economy’s General Directorate for Tourism’s stringent eco-responsibility and inclusivity criteria, reinforcing our commitment to reducing our ecological footprint.
