Who we are

Deloitte has a long history in Luxembourg. What started in the 1950s as a small accountancy practice called “l'Agence” is today a multidisciplinary firm, part of a global network of more than 460,000 dedicated professionals providing  a broad range of leading professional services to select clients.

Since the very beginning, Deloitte Luxembourg’s mission has been to support clients in making their most challenging business decisions with confidence and in helping them lead the way to a stronger economy and a healthy society.

Our modernized storefront delivers integrated solutions to our clients and creates unparalleled career opportunities for our people. We are aligning our capabilities into four primary business lines: Audit & Assurance, Tax & Legal and two consultative businesses, Strategy, Risk & Transactions and Technology & Transformation.

These businesses are supported by our internal operations, including Marketing & Communications, Clients & Industries, Legal, Quality and Compliance, IT, Office Management, Human Resources and Finance.

Our leadership

Executive Committee

The executive management of the Firm is the responsibility of the Executive Committee. Except where provided otherwise by the Company organisational documents, the Executive Committee shall be invested with the widest powers to deal with all matters pertaining to the achievement of the objects of the Firm. The Executive Committee, under the leadership of the Managing Partner, who bears ultimate responsibility for its actions, shall in particular be responsible notably for the defence of the collective interests of the Firm, overseeing the working of the Practice, for partner matters, for the maintenance of key business/client relationships, for the business development strategy. It shall also ensure that the Firm complies with applicable laws and regulations, whether originating in Luxembourg or elsewhere and shall make sure that enterprise-wide business risks have been properly identified, adequately assessed, appropriately prioritised, managed and monitored on an on-going basis and regularly reported to them.

Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board is an independent committee that acts as the firm’s primary policy and oversight body. It serves as a counterweight to the firm’s executive bodies (the Executive Committee and Managing Partner) in long-term business and financial strategy matters. The primary role of the Supervisory Board is to oversee the firm’s executive management by the Executive Committee, while at no time interfering in it. The Supervisory Board is notably tasked with overseeing Partnership admission/removal and Equity Partner role level and remuneration, as well as giving input on matters such as ethics, risk management and internal audit, material investments, etc.

Growth Council

The creation of our Growth Council this year marks a new step in the realisation of our collective ambition. This Council, which is a committee of the Firm’s Executive, is dedicated to the “Higher” dimension of our “Higher, Further, Together” strategy and will play pivotal role in steering the Firm and its people in our pursuit of excellence. The Growth Council brings together Growth Leaders, Industry Leaders, as well as our International Relations & Trade Corridors Leader, our Brand & Content Leader and our CEO.

Combining the outstanding expertise of these talented individuals into one committee allows our Firm to best support our Lead Client Service Partners, account teams, and partners to deliver our multi-disciplinary model and provide clients with the best of our firm. The Growth Council is committed to answering our clients’ agenda by bringing together our market-facing capabilities across geographies, businesses, industries, ecosystems, and alliances. The Growth Council works collaboratively as an integrated and agile team to consistently and seamlessly respond to the market and our clients’ most important issues.
