Every new development in technology opens new opportunities for business, and the advancement of Generative AI (GenAI) is no different. To better support our clients, Deloitte Luxembourg has been leveraging a versatile Generative AI chat assistant through a secure enterprise platform for nearly a year now. Appropriately titled eBuddy, this internal GenAI tool helps our practitioners carry out administrative tasks more efficiently so that we can better serve our clients across varied service engagements in addition to guiding them along their own enterprise GenAI journey.
Initial phases of testing and deploying eBuddy began in September 2023, with a firmwide rollout on 1 December 2023. While the name is friendly, its power shouldn’t be underestimated. Rooted in cutting-edge technology, eBuddy is a solution that can be customised around changing business needs.
Users are trained with strict data security protocols, and the tool’s framework maintains privacy by isolating data within a secure network traffic isolation. These advanced technologies enable eBuddy to read, index, and retrieve information effectively, ensuring our practitioners have the contextual insights required for impactful client interactions.
Our people are routinely offered voluntary and compulsory GenAI trainings, prompt courses, and webinars to support their understanding and use of the tool. Since December 2023, we have trained more than 1000 practitioners.
Most exciting is that its strategic implementation across our Deloitte (DCE) firms is now complete, emphasising the potential and importance of GenAI for our greater Deloitte network. We have already deployed it in three DCE countries and are progressing with more.
