AI for Good: Catalysing positive change through collaboration

Artificial intelligence has the power to transform lives and drive societal progress—from healthcare and education to agriculture and public safety. However, to do so effectively, it is critical we that encourage a regulatory landscape where AI is deployed safely, securely, and responsibly.

Deloitte Luxembourg is blazing a path forward with Patrick Laurent as the Gen AI/AI Leader for Deloitte Central Europe (DCE). Through his initiative, DCE joined Deloitte Global and North and South Europe (NSE) in sponsoring the fifth AI for Good Global Summit, held from 29 to 31 May 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Bringing together the top minds from various sectors, the AI for Good Global Summit crowd-sourced irreplaceable human intelligence, calling on AI experts to identify how we can scale practical applications of AI to accelerate progress towards the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Deloitte leaders from all over the world exchanged ideas and supported fellow Deloitte colleagues as they presented illuminating sessions on:

• AI’s ability to transform
• From artificial to authentic: How AI solves real-world problems

Progress will be best accomplished together in collective effort. With an online community of 137,000 people, 183 participating countries, 47 UN partners, and more than 5,000 in-person participants, we are honored to have supported such a momentous endeavour. We look forward to continued efforts that reinforce the power of collaboration and support innovations that have the potential to change the world for the better.
