The 9th Edition of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Awards 2025 will take place on 16 October 2025, under the theme “CFO vision: Creating impact and legacy” where the winners will be announced.
Objectives of the CFO awards
- Raise the profile of CFOs and their changing role in developing good operational and finance practices.
- Recognize excellence and the essential role that finance functions play in helping to build resilient organizations and sustainable business models.
- Create a platform for sharing best practice, drive awareness, inspire action and develop a community of finance leaders, committed to create more sustainable outcomes for their organizations.
Eligibility
- The candidate must be a Ugandan resident.
- Must be a member of a recognized professional body in good standing.
- Has been a CFO or Head of the finance function for at least three years.
- Previous winners are not eligible for the categories they have already won in past CFO awards.
Conditions
- Nominations may be made by ACCA members or non-members.
- The nomination narrative for each category should not exceed maximum of 500 words.
- The maximum number of nominations from any one person is three across the different award categories, including a self - nomination.
- Provide evidence to support your nomination narration. Evidence may include photographs, news clips, reports, or internal emails recognizing one’s performance, good work, or significant contribution. Please send evidence to dorothy.mutabazi@accaglobal.com
- The overall CFO of the year is determined by the judges.
