Introduction
The Not-for-Profit  sector has undergone rapid, significant changes driven by increasing regulatory obligations and scrutiny, technological innovation and financial pressures.

One year after the unilateral withdrawal of major international funding, NPOs continue to grapple with financial resilience to fulfil their core objectives and finance their  operations. Increased scrutiny from donors, regulators and the revenue authority has  mounted pressure amid the tilting landscape.

NPOs seek constructive engagement with authorities to ease integration of new laws and directives into their governance and operating framework, and the lack of opportunities for this compounds the compliance challenge. Procedural bottlenecks in compliance processes such as pursuit of tax exemption also result in time consuming engagements with authorities.

Accelerated advancement of technology - notably the emergence of artificial intelligence - obliges NPOs to redesign operational processes to enhance efficiency, fulfil strategic priorities and reskill their staff. It also presents unprecedented challenges and vulnerabilities in Data privacy and protection considering that most NPOs handle sensitive information.

It is against this background that we believe NPOs must remain agile to respond to sectoral shifts and preserve their relevance. Professionals in this sector tasked with compliance, reporting, financial decision-making and other key duties must be continuously equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage their changing circumstances.

This is why Deloitte invites you to attend our Annual NPO Seminar where a platform to learn about and discuss the above concerns is provided. Further details of the seminar are provided below.
