Bernadette Wahogo is a Partner at Deloitte East Africa, Strategy & Operations business unit in Deloitte Kenya, with over 25 years of experience across both the audit and consulting practice, serving clients in both the public and the private sector, serving some of the firm’s largest clients. She is also the Chief Operating Officer of Deloitte East Africa, having also served as the East Africa Consulting Leader since June 2016 to May 2020.
In the Public Sector space, Bernadette together with her team has worked with the National Treasury, Account General Department, in providing technical assistance to State Corporations, Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) and Public Funds, in the preparation and consolidation of financial statements. Her team has trained over 700 financial personnel to equip them with the prescribed reporting frameworks and standards.
In her tenure while at Deloitte, she has managed and/or co-ordinated assignments in Ethiopia, Zambia, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Lesotho, Swaziland and Uganda among other countries.

She is ardent about corporate governance and has extended her services to mentor managers, young ladies and teenagers, in her individual capacity and she is heavily involved in Deloitte Corporate Social Responsibility activities such as The Clinton Global Give Back Initiative,
Bernadette holds a Master’s in Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Studies from Kenyatta University and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accounts of Kenya (ICPAK).
