Deloitte also analyzed the client's cultural landscape, highlighting key themes, strengths, and areas of focus, and conducted a competitor benchmarking analysis against selected peers.

  • Deloitte delivered a ranking of the client versus peers on overall organisational culture and identified customer-centric practices from top competitors that the client could adopt.

Problem

  • The client faced cultural challenges that hindered organisational effectiveness and employee engagement. They needed Deloitte to identify cultural factors requiring attention through internal and external assessments.

Approach

  • Deloitte analyzed the client's internal survey data across 23 cultural characteristics, identifying areas of concern by comparing score trends over four years. Additionally, an external study compared the client’s cultural characteristics with competitors, highlighting pillars where the client lagged and needed improvement.

Outcome

  • Deloitte identified 8 cultural characteristics with a declining trend internally and 2 with lower net sentiment scores compared to competitors. The external review provided actionable insights for improving these cultural pillars.

  • The client wanted to understand their organisational culture and employees' perceptions, as well as compare their culture with peers and subsidiaries across 10 major geographies. They aimed to identify global pain points and best practices to become the best employer worldwide, seeking a deep dive to plan key cultural interventions.
