My name is Lauren Flusk and I am an African.
What does inclusion mean to you?
Inclusion is appreciating and respecting people for who they are, regardless of any perceived differences you may or may not have. Inclusion is understanding that we are different, but we work better when we work together.
How is Deloitte helping you build your career?
I’m lucky to work with a team that believes in listening to different opinions and values new ideas. I have been encouraged to think out of the box and develop new ways of working. This has allowed me to grow in my current role and develop my skill base.

What is the most valuable thing you have learned since you joined Deloitte?
Since joining Deloitte I have learned the importance of expressing myself and my ideas. My teams have encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and communicate my thoughts and opinions.
What's one piece of advice you would give to someone relocating their life and career to Ireland?
Do it!!! It is an incredible opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience working with new people and different clients. Ireland is a beautiful country with a rich history and tonnes to explore. Make the move it’s definitely worth it!
