Yaw Appiah Lartey is a Partner and Africa Leader for Infrastructure & Capital Projects (I&CP) and Economic Advisory in Deloitte Africa. He has over 15 years “Big 4” accounting firm (Deloitte, PwC and EY) experience working on high-profile financial advisory transactions in corporate finance, market study, feasibility studies, economic advisory, financial modelling, business valuation, project appraisal and implementation.
Yaw also has extensive experience in transaction advisory for several sectors including transportation, energy, mining, manufacturing, telecommunication, and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). He has been involved in Public Private Partnership (PPP), Private Sector Participation (PSP) project financing, structuring and contract negotiation for infrastructure projects valued at over $10 billion across Africa including Nigeria, Sierra Leone, the Gambia, Kenya, Botswana, Eswatini and South Africa.
Yaw is a regular panellist on local and international business and economic discussions. He has published over 15 articles on the Ghanaian economy and has been quoted by local and international media.
Yaw is a Chartered Accountant and a Lawyer by profession. He is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (FCA, Ghana). Yaw holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Qualifying Certificate in Law (QCL) from the Ghana School of Law. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Ghana and a masters degree in finance from University of Cambridge UK.
