Ethiopia IPO Masterclasses

Deloitte in collaboration with the Ethiopian Securities Exchange and the Ethiopian Capital Markets Authority will host a second series of Initial Public Offering (IPO) Masterclasses.

This Masterclass is following the success of our October 2022 series, which introduced the IPO process in advance of the establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and the opening of the Securities exchange. This series will focus on the practical elements of the IPO preparation process covering sources of funding, valuation principles and the practicalities of the fund raising process.

Course Content

Our full day Masterclass on 9th May 2023 and subsequent one-on-one series will cover:

• Sources of funding (equity vs debt) – fundamentals of debt and equity capital markets;
• Valuation principles – setting the price and parties involved;
• Investment banking overview, services and growth; and
• One-on-one sessions with selected companies.
