The Danish Government has just agreed on a bill that will strengthen the international recruitment in Denmark. The new agreement is valid from 1 April 2023.
The benefits of the agreement are:
Companies with minimum 10 full-time and permanent employees can now get certified and use the Fast-Track Scheme.
The conditions for getting certified are the same:
If your company is looking to get certified, we can help you check if your company fulfils the conditions for this.
We will help you gather all the correct documentation and assist you with the submission of the application with the Immigration Authority. Finally, we will participate in the guidance meeting between your company and the Immigration Authority.
It is now possible to apply for a residence and work permit in Denmark based on a supplementary Pay Limit Scheme and the added Pay Limit Track (Fast-Track Scheme).
The conditions for the supplementary Pay Limit Scheme and the new Pay Limit Track are that the:
A residence and work permit will be valid for 5 years instead of 4 years. It is possible to apply for an extension of the permit, even though the gross unemployment exceeds 3.75% and without being posted on Jobnet and EURES.
The supplementary agreement will be dissolved, if more than 15,000 obtains a residence and work permit based on this agreement.
More jobs are added to the Positive List, and there is an aim to make the scheme more predictable. The important change for this scheme is that jobs on the Positive List will now be on the list for a minimum two years.
It is now possible for foreign companies, who wish to start a new branch in Denmark, to use the Start-up Scheme. Even foreigners, who have started a company whilst they have another basis of residence, can use the extended Start-up Scheme.
Foreign students, who finish their degree in Denmark, will automatically get a job search permit valid for three years. If the students find a job, they must apply for a separate work permit, which will allow them to work for the day of application. The minimum requirement for the education is bachelor level. The Establishment Card Scheme is closed in connection with this.
We will monitor the new agreement and other updates from the Immigration Authority.
