To do our part, Deloitte has launched WorldClimate, our strategy to drive responsible climate choices and positive change within our organization and beyond. In Czech Republic and Slovakia, we see these goals as an opportunity to continue improving ourselves and our services with even greater impact.
Deloitte’s near-term (2040) greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as 1.5°C-aligned, science-based targets. Deloitte has also committed to set long-term emissions reduction targets using the SBTi’s Net Zero Standard.
Our near-term goals are to:
By 2030, reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 70% compared to 2019.
Reduce business travel by 55% (calculated on a full-time basis) by 2030 compared to the 2019 baseline year to reduce Scope 3 emissions.
Motivate our suppliers to set science-based targets for reducing their emissions by at least 67% (by emissions) by 2025.
Our long-term goals are:
By 2040, reduce absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 90% compared to 2019.

Our cooperation and activation of Deloitte employees
We place great emphasis on sustainability, climate protection and care for the environment. To support our efforts and empower communities on their path to change, we work with entities that share these ambitions and motivate our people to commit to ecology.
Every year we organize April campaigns for Earth Month. We deal with areas where every individual can positively change their behavior, such as food waste or fast fashion. Through various activities, we support education and motivate our people to make positive changes. We also offer opportunities to participate throughout the year, such as revitalizing public spaces, planting trees, or participating in internal initiatives such as Do Work Actively.
