Deloitte named a leader in Business Transformation by independent research firm

As with many of the consultancies in this Forrester Wave, they have shifted to agile delivery using innovation centers

NEW YORK, NY, USA, 1 November 2017 — Deloitte announced today that Forrester has named it a leader in Business Transformation in its recent report entitled The Forrester Wave™: Business Transformation Consultancies, Q3 2017. Deloitte has the highest scores in the current offering and strategy categories.

“Deloitte has become the model consulting firm for business transformations today,” writes author Marc Cecere, Vice President, Principal Analyst Serving CIOs in the report. “Their shift to digital from traditional areas has been dramatic, particularly in their use of analytics, digital agency, their ecosystem and the depth of their customer/industry-specific knowledge. Their ability to integrate numerous acquisitions — e.g., Day1 Solutions for cloud and Cornerstone Group for digital marketing and analytics — has been a significant contributor to this shift.”

“Forrester’s independent assessment reflects Deloitte’s ability to drive impact and sustainable value through business transformation,” said Jim Moffatt, Head of Deloitte Global Consulting. “We believe the research reveals our ‘secret sauce’: we deliver deep industry insight with our consulting and advisory capability, spanning strategy and change, integrated with world-class technology. This captures Deloitte’s true differentiation as a consultancy and is how game-changing transformation is delivered to clients.”

Forrester’s 19-criteria evaluation of business transformation providers “identified 10 of the world’s top consultancies…and researched, analysed and scored them. This report shows how each provider measures up and helps CIOs and business leaders make the right choice of consulting partner.”

The report also notes, “Traditional, labour intensive consulting models are going through major upheaval and reinvention. More demanding customer requirements are putting pressure on both the speed of delivery and the operating models of leading consulting firms.”

“Given today’s market interdependencies, businesses need a consulting partner who can orchestrate and integrate the right ecosystem to help address their toughest challenges,” said Moffatt. “Building on our own culture of collaboration, and leveraging our alliances and investments in emerging technologies, Deloitte is creating unique ecosystems to build products and solutions that help clients get to the future faster.”

Additional Findings in the Forrester report about Deloitte

  • “Deloitte shows maturity and innovation in all aspects of strategy and delivery. Their many acquisitions are well integrated with project teams. Their culture is supportive of their direction toward digital and their partnership structure syncs well with clients seeking a long-term relationship with a strategic supplier. They are very aggressive with using reusable assets, such as DecisionPrint, as a means to accelerate and improve consulting engagements.”
  • “Their research and application of organisational change management is the most sophisticated we’ve seen and their platform, ChangeScout, may finally turn OCM into a science. The way they incent people and change their culture is innovative and supports a consulting model that leverages software assets and specialists over generalists.”
  • “As with many of the consultancies in this Forrester Wave, they have shifted to agile delivery using innovation centres; ultra-hip facilities where client and consulting teams use high-tech tools to work through problems together.”
