EMPOWER – Project progress meeting
During this period, EMPOWER was studying the electric grid of Cyprus, and now is about to deploy the first PMUs, following a specific methodology. A communication infrastructure was also designed, to collect the PMUs' data and distribute them accordingly.
Deloitte, in collaboration with Aeolian Dynamics and KIOS CoE are working towards the identification of the ideal storage solutions that are adequate for the islanded case of Cyprus in order to implement a techno-economic framework for allowing the integration of storage. Deloitte will also have the main responsibility for enhancing the exploitation of the project’s results and spread their utilization.
