Cyprus, 24 September 2026 - Caring for others and providing meaningful support to vulnerable groups are best demonstrated throughacts of collective effort and genuine solidarity.
Members of Deloitte Cyprus visited the “Agios Stefanos Foundation” in Limassol on Wednesday, 23 September, to deliver a modern minibus specially built and customised to serve the needs of people with disabilities supported by the Foundation.
This donation is of particular importance, as it tangibly highlights the strength of the team and the human face of the firm and its people. The vehicle was funded entirely through the company’s joint contribution fund, to which both the company and staff members contribute voluntarily and equally. Consequently, this initiative is not merely another corporate sponsorship, but a joint contribution of special value. In this way, Deloitte’s people once again exemplify their support for the work carried out by similar NGOs.
This new minibus will significantly enhance the services provided to and the quality of life of the individuals supported by Agios Stefanos, easing their daily routine and offering an additional means of safe and comfortable transportation.
It will further strengthen their opportunities for social inclusion and facilitate their participation in events and excursions, making their everyday lives more pleasant and fulfilling.
Present at the handover were Alexis Agathocleous, Partner and head of the firm’s office in Limassol, as well as other members of the firm’s people. Speaking on behalf of all, Agathocleous referred to previous donations made through the Make an Impact Fund, to which both the firm and its people contribute equally, such as the purchase of a vehicle for the Charisma Association and the refurbishment of the waiting area of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre.
As Agathocleous stated, “For us at Deloitte, having a positive impact on our society is an integral part of our DNA and of our firm’s philosophy. Today is a special day for us, and we feel especially proud that, once again, we are able to stand beside people who need it the most. As of today, we become companions in the journey of the Agios Stefanos Foundation, which for decades has carried out truly remarkable work with unwavering love, care and selflessness. As a firm, we are committed to continuing to foster an environment where corporate responsibility goes hand in hand with the personal sensitivity and solidarity of our people, keeping people at the heart of our corporate social responsibility actions and continuing to create a meaningful impact on society.”
The Director of the Agios Stefanos Foundation, Ms Mikaela Stavrinidou, warmly thanked Deloitte Cyprus and its staff for the donation. She thanked Deloitte and its people for this valuable and meaningful contribution. “The donation of the new minibus is a significant support for our Foundation and will make an important contribution to the safe, comfortable and dignified transportation of the individuals we support every day. The value of this contribution is even greater because it stems from a collective effort by Deloitte’s people and the firm itself. This tangible act of solidarity is deeply moving to us and serves as a meaningful example of social sensitivity and responsibility. For us, every initiative that enhances the quality of life, social participation and autonomy of people with intellectual disabilities is of special importance. The new vehicle will enable us to offer the individuals we support more opportunities to participate in activities, events, excursions and community initiatives. We warmly thank Deloitte Cyprus for its trust and support. This contribution represents an important and meaningful addition to the work of the Foundation and, above all, to the everyday lives and quality of life of the people we support.”
