Giannos has over nine years of experience with our firm, specialising in large and complex audits, with particular expertise in international shipping groups, financial institutions and public interest entities.
He manages a significant portfolio of strategic clients, including local banks and major audit engagements in the shipping industry. He fosters trusted relationships with client stakeholders and serves as the primary escalation point for both technical and commercial matters. He engages extensively with senior executives, key stakeholders and regulators. Furthermore, he maintains strong collaboration across DME and ΕΜΕΑ, contributing to business development initiatives and group and cross-border audit engagements.
Beyond his client responsibilities, he is actively involved in people development and audit quality initiatives as a member of the DME Learning Team, Regional Coach for the Internal Controls Learning Network, assistant EQR and Concurring Reviewer.
Giannos holds a BSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cyprus, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber.
