One of the key priorities of EU transport, energy and climate policy is the wider use of sustainable alternative fuels. The Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Programme aims to provide support for accelerating the construction of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and to promote the use of environmentally friendly modes of transport in the country. The programme provides funding for the construction of publicly accessible charging centers for light and heavy electric vehicles along the main and comprehensive TEN-T road network. The programme is aimed at micro, small or medium-sized enterprises and associations between them in the less developed regions of the country.
