A New Opportunity for Professional Advancement for 50 Young Women Across Bosnia and Herzegovina

Applications for the sixth cycle of the Women’s Mentoring Network are now open!

Applications for the sixth cycle of the unique mentoring programme Women’s Mentoring Network are officially open. This year once again, the programme offers an opportunity for 50 ambitious young women who wish to enhance their business skills, strengthen their professional confidence, and build a network of contacts that can shape the trajectory of their careers.

The Women’s Mentoring Network is a unique initiative that supports young women in Bosnia and Herzegovina in developing key professional skills, expanding networks that open doors to new opportunities, and strengthening professional confidence. Through carefully designed trainings, structured networking, and individual mentoring, the programme has for six consecutive years created an environment in which women grow, recognize their potential, and become more visible and influential within the business community of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The programme is implemented by Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo and Deloitte BiH, while UNDP has been a partner of the Women’s Mentoring Network since its beginning. Over the first five generations, the programme has brought together more than 250 participants, whose stories continue to confirm the value of the Network, from practical knowledge and lasting professional connections to strengthened confidence that supports their continued career development.

Who can apply?

The programme is open to university-educated, employed women with at least one year of professional experience who are motivated to learn, grow, and actively shape their professional paths.

Applications are open until April 8, 2026.

The voices behind the programme

Sanela Pašić, Member of the Supervisory Board of Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo and one of the founders of the project, highlights: “After marking an important milestone, the first five successfully implemented cycles of the Women’s Mentoring Network, we proudly continue forward, entering the new cycle with the same enthusiasm and dedication. Year after year, the programme has demonstrated its strength and impact, particularly through the individual work of mentors and mentees, showing how continuous support can significantly influence the professional development of young women. When women have access to knowledge, inspiring professional role models, and a strong professional network, the benefits extend far beyond their individual growth, they strengthen the entire economy. Numerous studies confirm that greater participation of women in the business world increases productivity, innovation, and resilience of companies. This is precisely why we believe mentorship plays a key role in building a more competitive and inclusive labour market. Networking opens doors to new opportunities and strengthens the sense of belonging to a community that inspires.”

Sabina Softić, Director of Deloitte BiH and co-founder of the project, adds: “One of the most important factors of professional development is access to people who are willing to share their experience, open doors to new perspectives, and provide support at key moments in a career. That is exactly the essence of the Women’s Mentoring Network, creating a space where young professionals can learn from experienced leaders, build confidence, and make more informed decisions about their professional paths. Over the past five cycles, the programme has brought together more than 250 participants from various industries and professional environments across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their career stories today demonstrate how mentorship, the exchange of experience, and a strong professional network can accelerate development and open new opportunities. A special value of the programme lies in the community that emerges through this process, a network of women who share knowledge, support, and contacts with one another, often long after the programme has ended. We believe that the sixth generation will continue building such a community and further empower a new generation of leaders who will contribute to the development of the business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina with their knowledge and perspectives.”
