The final training session and the official closing ceremony of the 4th season of the Women's Mentoring Network program, organized by Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo and Deloitte BiH, were successfully held.
The Women's Mentoring Network, a project widely recognized for its significance within the community, successfully supported its fourth generation of mentees this year, thanks to the dedicated support of long-standing partners who continue to uphold its mission.
The final day of the program featured training for 50 mentees, young businesswomen who had the opportunity to attend and actively contribute to discussions on topics such as "Women in the Business World," "The Role of Inclusivity in ESG," and "Inclusive Leadership and Strategy for Driving Change."
The program's founders, Sanela Pašić and Sabina Softić, expressed great satisfaction with the project's growing interest and success each year.
"The fourth season of the Women's Mentoring Network has been successfully completed, but our ambitions don't stop here. With every new cycle, we set higher standards and expand the network of support for women. We are proud of the achievements of our participants who, thanks to the knowledge and experiences they have gained, are achieving significant professional successes. We want to thank our partner, UNDP, and all the organizations that recognize the importance of the program for their immense contribution to building this important platform for empowering women in the region. Together, we are building a better future for all of us,"
emphasized Sabina Softić, Partner and Managing Director of Deloitte
Bosnia and Herzegovina
"I am extremely pleased to see the growing number of young women who recognize the importance of investing in themselves every year. We have made every effort to ensure that each young businesswoman receives adequate support for her professional development, helping her understand the challenges of career advancement, balancing personal and professional life, and solving various business problems. I believe that this project will help them build their integrity and encourage them to be authentic and open to acquiring new knowledge and experiences,"
highlighted Sanela Pašić, Member of the Supervisory Board of Addiko Bank Sarajevo and Professor at the University of Sarajevo School of Science and Technology
"We are extremely pleased and proud to be partners of the Women Mentoring Network for the fourth consecutive year, a program that demonstrates how investing in the empowerment of women brings real and lasting results. In UNDP, we believe that inclusion and equality are key to building more resilient and advanced societies. The recent local elections, where only eight women have been elected as mayors across all municipalities and cities of the country, highlights the need for greater participation of women, in politics but also more broadly in communities and in the business sector. Through initiatives like the Women Mentoring Network, we are not only creating opportunities for women to become leaders in their communities and professions but also contributing to broader efforts to build a more gender-equal society. Our support for this project is part of UNDP’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 on Gender Equality."
Renaud Meyer, UNDP Resident Representative in BiH, highlighted the
importance of empowering women through initiatives like these.
The closing ceremony brought together mentors and mentees from previous seasons, providing an ideal opportunity to exchange experiences and build new business connections. On this occasion, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the mentors, and certificates were presented to the mentees who successfully completed the program.
This year, the program was once again supported by its key partner, UNDP, while the implementation of the fourth season was further backed by the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), UN Women, IFC (International Finance Corporation), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST). The project's media partner was the prestigious Forbes.
We extend our gratitude to all the partners and sponsors who have, through their support over the years, further strengthened the Women's Mentoring Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
