Katarina is a partner and head of the Audit and Assurance Department at Deloitte Croatia, with over 20 years of experience in auditing financial statements across various industries, including telecommunications, banking, wholesale and retail trade, industrial production, media and communications, and service activities. She leads audit teams, including those for Public Interest Entities (PIE) and specializes in bank audits. Her expertise extends to internal audits, internal audit quality assessments, and performance evaluations of supervisory boards, where she also plays an active role in simplifying financial reporting for board members. Katarina is also a lecturer on accounting standards and corporate governance. Additionally, she heads the Audit Talent program for Central Europe South, focusing on talent development and monitoring.
Katarina graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana and is a Certified Auditor in both Croatia and Slovenia. She also holds certifications from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), where she is a Certified Internal Auditor.
