Jamaica 2026/27 Budget Snapshot

Snapshot of the Jamaica National Budget 2026/27

On February 12, 2026, the Hon. Fayval Williams, MP, Minister of Finance and the Public Service, tabled the Revenue Measures for the 2026/2027 financial year. This tabling marked a change to the tabling done in the House of Parliament at the budget presentations held in March, and sought to have an earlier introduction of the plans for the upcoming financial year.

This budget saw the “No new taxes” eight-year streak come to an end as it introduced measures designed to rebuild, following the devastation of Hurricane Melisa. The Revenue Measures and National Budget, later presented on March 10, 2026, reflected the Government’s commitment to recovery and growth. The budget focused on setting the stage for maintaining growth amidst uncertain times, generating revenue to fill gaps caused by natural devastation and building the capital markets for economic stability.
