Christian Bout brings 20 years of experience in audit and assurance to his role as leader of Deloitte Netherlands’ Audit Advisory team and the Complex Accounting Assurance community for Deloitte NSE. With a strong foundation in audit, Christian has expanded his expertise to encompass advisory services across various industries, including Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT), private companies, and fast-growing organisations. He manages a team that specialises in accounting advisory, overseeing projects that involve NL GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP conversions, internal controls, and finance maturity. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Christian maintains an active role in client service. “I can’t be a good leader if I don’t understand clients and the market”, he explains. Christian serves as the lead client service partner (LCSP) for several priority clients, ensuring that his work remains grounded in real-world challenges.
