Kingston, Jamaica – February 16, 2026 - Deloitte Jamaica today announced the official launch of the globally renowned Best Managed Companies program in Jamaica. This initiative marks the first time the prestigious designation will be awarded to private companies in the country, underscoring Deloitte’s commitment to fostering excellence within the local business community following the re-establishment of its Jamaican practice in early 2025.
The launch of the program coincides with a pivotal moment of growth and transformation for Jamaican enterprise. As the engine of the national economy, private companies – from dynamic family-owned businesses to established regional players – are vital to Jamaica's growth and development, especially as the Jamaican economy rebuilds post Hurricane Melissa. By supporting and celebrating these businesses, the program directly contributes to strengthening the local economic fabric and showcasing Jamaican excellence on the world stage.
To ensure the program's impact, Deloitte has confirmed strategic alliances with two of the nation's most respected institutions. The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) joins as the official Business Sponsor, while the UWI Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) will serve as the Education Sponsor for the Jamaica leg of the Deloitte Caribbean Best Managed Companies Program.
