Kaylee Trott awarded 2024 Deloitte Scholarship

Deloitte is pleased to announce that the 2024 Deloitte Scholarship recipient is Kaylee Trott. The scholarship awards up to $30,000 per year for a maximum of 3 years. It is available to Bermudians pursuing an undergraduate degree and who are interested in accounting, actuarial, financial advisory, risk advisory, or other business related studies. 

Kaylee commented, “I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Deloitte for awarding me the 2024 Deloitte Scholarship. I am truly honoured to be chosen as this year’s recipient. The Deloitte Scholarship is now an instrumental part of my journey, affording me the ability to complete my university degree in Canada.”

The Deloitte Scholarship Committee interviewed an impressive group of applicants. The committee unanimously agreed, scoring Kaylee as their top choice. Kaylee is in her second year at Dalhousie University in Halifax, where she is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce Co-op Degree. In her third year, she plans to declare accounting as her major. Kaylee is due to graduate in June 2026. 

Outside of her academic journey, Kaylee has taken part in Deloitte’s Exclusive Experience Program (DEEP) and Co-op Program. As an intern on the firm’s Audit & Assurance team, her work experience at Deloitte has provided her with a ‘behind-the-scenes look’ at a career in accounting. Kaylee comments, “After participating in the DEEP summer internship and co-op program, I can confidently say that my time at Deloitte has significantly helped me grow as a person, student, and professional. The experience I’ve gained is invaluable and I am eager to continue learning. Upon graduation, I look forward to pursuing my Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation with the support of the Deloitte community.” 

Kaylee captures Deloitte’s core values, highlighted in her commitment to volunteer and extracurricular activities at Dalhousie University. She is also an active member of Bermuda’s volleyball community, volunteering as a coach for a National Under 16 team.
