Lloyd Balshaw

Lloyd is a Director in Deloitte’s Caribbean and Bermuda (CBC) Actuarial & Insurance Solutions (AIS) practice, based in the Cayman Islands. Lloyd is a qualified actuary, and an expert in insurance financial reporting, actuarial valuation, and capital management. He has extensive experience in the Insurance Industry, having started his career at Deloitte South Africa where he led a number of IFRS implementations, contributed to the development of regulations, and supported insurers in their business planning, capital management and valuations. Lloyd has served and led engagements for listed and non-listed clients at various maturities and across multiple jurisdictions. He recently played a lead role in the successful implementation of a new reporting framework for one of Deloitte’s largest global insurance clients, working across the finance and actuarial functions to build, improve and optimize the delivery and management of results.
