Laurie Mernett is an Audit & Assurance partner at Deloitte Cayman Islands. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in serving hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, private banks, and fund administrators. Laurie also leads the Audit Transformation team for Deloitte’s Caribbean Bermuda region, and is involved in local and regional audit quality and technical initiatives.
Laurie holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba, Canada. She is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), a US Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Laurie serves as a council member, chair of the Membership Licensing Committee, chair of the Membership Engagement Committee, and Vice-President of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants. She is actively involved with the Cayman Islands chapter of 100 Women in Finance, having served as co-chair and member on several of their committees.
