John Jabs in an Audit & Assurance partner at Deloitte Cayman Islands, with over 20 years of experience in both the Cayman Islands and Canada. He leads audits of various hedge and private equity funds, and serves as the local insurance sector leader.
John is actively involved in both the Audit & Assurance Technical Team and the Internal Control Leaders Network for Deloitte's Caribbean and Bermuda region. He also acts as concurring reviewer for several engagements, and as a team leader for Deloitte’s Global Audit Quality Inspection process.
John is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants. He has taught undergraduate accounting courses at the University of Manitoba, and facilitated and marked exams for the Chartered Accountants School of Business.
John is an active member of the community and local champion for Deloitte’s WorldClimate initiative. He has served on many not-for-profit boards focused on coral reef restoration, business education, and financial literacy.
