Jay is a Tax Director with Deloitte Bermuda, primarily focused on issues related to US and Bermuda corporate income taxes for insurance companies. His areas of expertise include provision, compliance, M&A, reinsurance, and structuring and tax planning.
A significant part of Jay’s experience includes serving private-equity backed insurance clients, sidecars, and other alternative insurance structures. He has also worked with a variety of clients in the life, property-casualty, and captive insurance spaces on US and international income tax matters. Prior to joining the Bermuda office, Jay spent 12 years with Deloitte Tax (US), including two years in Deloitte’s Washington National Tax office as an insurance tax subject matter expert.
