John has over 40 years financial advisory experience with boards, executive management and other stakeholders of listed and large privately owned businesses. His skills and expertise centers around leadership in special situations where performance improvement, scenario planning and rapid operational transformation is required. John has a track record of helping his clients navigate challenging times of uncertainty and volatility by supporting them to make the right choices and stay focused on outcomes.

John commenced his career with Deloitte as an undergraduate and was invited to join the Deloitte Australia partnership in 1994. Over his 30 plus year career as a Deloitte Partner, John has held a number of leadership positions within the firm. These have included roles in overseeing CEO and Chair transitions as a member of the Deloitte Board, Queensland Market Leader, national Business Unit Executive member, Queensland Industry Leader, Lead Client Service and Advisory Partner on major accounts and most importantly as a high performing client service delivery partner.

John has served on the Deloitte Australia Board for over 11 years including on the audit, remuneration, partner admissions, succession and leadership development sub-committees. He has also acted as Chair of the Partnership Agreement Review sub-committee.

John holds qualifications as a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Governance Professional, Chartered Company Secretary, Registered Liquidator and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
