Learn about the “Jornada de Empoderamento Digital” initiative, developed by Deloitte and Recode; and the "Eu Capacito" Project, from IT Mídia Institute, supported by Deloitte.

In February 2023, we started a new program within the WorldClass program, "Jornada de Empoderamento Digital" (Digital Empowerment Journey, in English), created jointly by Deloitte and Recode, a non-governmental organization that focuses on digital empowerment. The objective of the program is to offer free online learning paths for people looking to improve their employability potential.

This initiative aims to serve people in situations of social vulnerability from all regions of Brazil, of all ages and profiles that represent the diversity of Brazilian society, who need support to accelerate their inclusion in a society that is undergoing profound digital transformation. The objective of this initiative is also to expand the offer of job opportunities, within companies operating in Brazil, aimed at these candidates. To make this national reach possible, we will have the support of digital empowerment centers spread across the country and we will also donate computer equipment.

The Jornada de Empoderamento Digital is made up of learning paths. The first, entitled “Technologies for the future”, has a 40-hour workload and covers the themes: exponential technologies, virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, internet of things, biotechnology and wearable technologies.

The second track, “Knowledge for everyday life”, helps to complement Basic and High School knowledge with essential topics for any job: mathematics, Portuguese, English and practical training for Office Package programs, Outlook and other tools basic work. This trail takes 35 hours and can be completed in up to two months.

The platform can still be fed with new tracks.

At the end of the trails, the registrant's profile can be inserted into a CV database, which can be accessed by Deloitte itself and its business partners for potential future hiring.

Deloitte will also seek to increase the employability potential of participants, based on mentoring offered by volunteer professionals and also the support of our Talent & Culture area for hiring and monitoring the process of acclimatizing and belonging to these new professionals.

Deloitte supports the Eu Capacito initiative, which aims to promote free professional training and educational actions by the private sector through its digital platform. The main focus of the initiative is the development of technology skills, in conceptual, technical (programming) or tooling terms (handling for business areas), and knowledge in other areas considered important for entrepreneurship.

In fiscal year 2022, more than 8 thousand people were trained through Deloitte's support for the initiative and, in fiscal year 2023, there were more than 65 thousand people.

Another initiative by Deloitte and Eu Capacito, aimed at training, was the granting of one hundred full scholarships for a degree in Administration with an emphasis on Digital Transformation at the Trevisan Escola de Negócios faculty. With the eight semesters of the degree being 100% online and with live classes, fifty registrations were made available to black people in the city of Salvador and another fifty registrations were open to all parts of Brazil.
