Iberdrola Advanced Smart Assistant, created through a collaboration between Iberdrola, Deloitte Engineering, and AWS, offers an innovative solution to help customers overcome these challenges and achieve their energy-saving goals.
The Advanced Smart Assistant combines AWS cloud native and machine learning services. It features a user-friendly interface that allows users to connect and control various electrical devices in their homes. In addition to providing real-time insights into home energy usage, the assistant offers advanced recommendations to empower customers to manage their energy consumption and play an active role in the energy transition.
Deloitte Engineering, Iberdrola industry specialists, and AWS as cloud provider collaborated on the design of the platform, identifying risks, and navigating common pitfalls to build a flexible and secure solution for home users.
OutcomeThe platform design was based on modern Deloitte Engineering industry and cloud blueprints that support a clear product vision and drive new concepts and ways to reach and exceed Iberdrola business goals. Deloitte has built and tested the platform with a developmental approach allowing real-time iteration to help Iberdrola to deliver rapid outcomes to its customers.

For example, it automatically optimizes the charging of electric vehicle batteries to minimize energy costs. It also helps reduce air cooling consumption by leveraging the thermal properties of the household. Furthermore, if the user has solar panels, the assistant intelligently manages household consumption by scheduling non-urgent tasks during periods of higher green energy production, thereby improving overall energy efficiency.
