The session began with a series of "Brainsnacks"—short, engaging presentations by sustainability experts from around the globe. Delivered virtually to minimize carbon emissions, these interactive sessions allowed the Finance team to compare their understanding with cutting-edge insights, ensuring they were well-prepared for the task ahead.
Following these knowledge-sharing segments, the team worked together to pinpoint the key sustainability variables most relevant to their organization. From there, they co-created a robust plan to gather and manage the necessary data, ensuring alignment with other departments that would be critical to the success of the initiative. Clear roles and responsibilities were established to support the implementation and execution of the plan, setting the foundation for a smooth and efficient process.
As a result of this collaborative effort, the Finance team successfully integrated sustainability metrics into their financial reporting. This new capability allows the organization to track and measure its progress toward sustainability goals, ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting the company’s broader vision for a sustainable future.
