We want you. The true you, with your own strengths, perspective, and personality.
Be your authentic self
At Deloitte, we want everyone to feel they can be their authentic selves and to thrive at work.
We are creating a positive workplace culture, characterised by inclusive everyday behaviours and built on a foundation of respect and appreciation for diversity in all its forms. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all to grow, develop, and succeed in an environment where we hold each other accountable at all times.
At Deloitte Belgium, we believe that fostering a diverse and inclusive environment is central to our Purpose of making an impact that matters. Diversity in a group matters as much as ability and brainpower. It also improves decision-making, helps attract top talent, increases employee satisfaction, and makes the firm more customer oriented.
Working toward gender equality
We have a strong commitment to diversity, and we have set ambitious targets for gender equality. Our goal is to achieve a fair representation throughout Deloitte Belgium, and among others increasing the number of women in our business units and national governance bodies. To achieve this, we developed the firmwide Gender Diversity initiative which aims to pinpoint the issues, set change targets, and develop measures to improve the current gender balance in our leadership. We are working toward a more gender-diverse partnership with the aim to increase our female partner representation to 30% by 2030.
Fostering LGBT+ inclusion
Our objective is to be proudly, visibly, and unquestionably inclusive of LGBT+ people, providing an environment where all our LGBT+ colleagues feel comfortable being themselves without hesitation, and able to thrive.
Parents@Deloitte
We strive to be a diverse and inclusive firm that respects all family models. We want to create a positive parental experience at Deloitte by focusing on the right priorities and providing support during life-changing events, such as expanding the family. We focus on flexibility and care, so we can empower the wellbeing and priorities of all our working parents.
Energise@Deloitte
We believe that maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle is good for the body and mind, and for generating a positive and successful working environment. With Energise@Deloitte, we’re on a mission to help our employees improve their health and wellbeing, whatever their role, goals, or fitness level. By joining our Energise@Deloitte programme, our people can participate in all sorts of sporting events across Belgium, an impressive ambassador programme, or keep fit in our fitness centre in our office in Zaventem. If there’s one thing that’s for sure, Energise@Deloitte will keep you pumped.
Flexibility
At Deloitte, we understand that flexibility is key. In fact, it is at the centre of our new way of working. We want our people to be able to balance the demands of their work and their clients with other aspects of their lives. So we offer a flexible schedule, flexible workplace, and flexible leave.
Fostering ethnic and cultural inclusion
We strive to create an environment where all our people can maximise their potential, regardless of their ethnicity, race or any form of cultural background. As an organisation deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, Deloitte stands against the legacy of systemic bias, racism, and unequal treatment that continues to plague our communities. As a growing international firm, we continue to drive global and local initiatives to increase diverse representation while celebrating multi-cultural diversity.
With over 85 nationalities represented at Deloitte Belgium, we have a highly diverse workforce. As we strive to empower everyone to bring their authentic self to work, we have introduced Reflection Rooms in our Gateway, Antwerp, and Ghent offices. Reflection Rooms are non-denominational spaces that are open to everyone who would like to take a moment to pause, reflect, meditate, pray or contemplate during the day.
In addition to the Reflection Rooms, we provide guidelines for engaging in open and respectful conversations with colleagues about faith, religion or beliefs to support our people to grow and be mindful of others.
