Laurent has 12 years of experience providing leading financial institutions and insurance companies with domestic and international tax advice as well as opinions on domestic, EU and international tax issues, including complex Belgian withholding tax matters, tax reorganizations and transfer pricing audits.
Laurent has vast experience of assisting EU and US clients in their negotiations with the Belgian central tax authorities (including the Belgian withholding tax services) and the Belgian Ruling Commission, as well as representing them in front of both national and European Courts. Also, he obtained several landmark rulings on the Belgian tax treatment of complex financial and insurance products.
