Johan Van der Paal is an Indirect Tax Partner with Deloitte Belgium, based in Brussels. Johan has more than 25 years of experience as an advisor in indirect taxes, with a focus on VAT. He developed a focus on tax matters affecting financial services and insurance, energy & utilities and e-commerce.
Johan leads Deloitte’s indirect tax EU policy team, has led studies for the European Commission and European Parliament, and is member of the VAT Expert Group set up by the European Commission.
