Christoph Michiels

A member of the Corporate M&A practice since 2011 and with over 20 years of experience in corporate transactional, advisory and restructuring work, Christoph focuses on venture capital and private equity, assisting founder and management teams as well as investors and investor syndicates.

In this role Christoph leads the scale-up and investor initiatives within Deloitte Legal (DL). Christoph also heads the DL LSHC practice leveraging our multi-disciplinary expertise in corporate, commercial, regulatory, IP and data protection.

His particular focus is on biotech and medtech start-ups and scale-ups. As head of the corporate compliance team, he focuses on recurrent corporate secretarial work and is leading the global roll-out of ELEMENT, our automated legal entity management solution.

As DL’s Innovation Partner, he strongly believes that digital transformation is key to future proofing the legal profession and is keen to share his experience with clients and build partnerships with legal tech providers.
