Deloitte has a strong commitment towards diversity, equity and inclusion, and we have set ambitious targets for gender balance. We strive to become a more diverse organisation with a balanced leadership. As one of our firm's main priorities, we target to have 30% female partner representation by 2030.
We want everyone at Deloitte to be able to be themselves at work and to have the same opportunities to develop and succeed, based on the value they bring. This is at the heart of our focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It is our ambition to provide a truly inclusive environment with an equal playing field for all. Our objective is to create a positive work environment where everyone is treated fairly and respectfully, and encouraged to be their authentic selves.
We need all of our leaders to feel confident in dealing with diversity issues and calling out any behaviour which is counter to our values.
We want to attract and retain the best people from a range of backgrounds, experiences, and cultures. It is our ambition to provide a truly inclusive environment where everyone feels able to be their authentic selves. Respect is a fundamental component of our culture. Simply put, without respect, true inclusion cannot be achieved. Diversity is any dimension that can be used to differentiate people from one another.
Starting as an idea from the audience during the Q&A session at the 2018 International Women's Day event, we launched the Internal Diversity Sounding Board in September 2018 and re-launched it to the Internal Diversity Network in January 2023. This important initiative will help us shape our continuous journey towards fostering inclusion and creating a positive workplace.
The Internal Diversity Network is a balanced group of people across Business Units, ages, genders, nationalities, cultures, religions, make-ups of the brain,… who come together throughout the year to discuss specific themes about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and live our ALL IN Strategy. The network is driven by hands-on engagement, sharing feedback and best practices, and is supported by the Deloitte leadership team.
