Papua New Guinea Budget 2026

The 2026 Budget was introduced to Parliament on 25 November 2025 by the Hon. Ian Ling-Stuckey. The theme was “Security with Growth” and comes at a pivotal moment when the country celebrates its 50th independence anniversary. This budget is designed to be a confident, forward-looking budget that leverages PNG's inherent strengths to drive inclusive growth.

The introduction of the new Income Tax Act from 1 January 2026 will mean that the business community, more than ever, needs to be aware of tax changes taking place.
